In order to accommodate different flavors of Golf Genius not having the same capabilities, the Index and Hole Assignment process has been altered. Two different files are required in order to perform the index and hole assignment synchronization between your Pro's tournament management system and the Golf-Around Management System (GMS) . This information is crucial for:
Dividing the entries into flights
Generation scorecards from GMS
Mobile Scoring
Host club scoring
Golf Genius users must download:
Player Index information via the "Golfer Spreadsheet" from the Event Roster and
Hole Assignments via the "Spreadsheet - Name - Hole - Tee Time - GHIN - Course - Round Date - Position" report. Go to Report Center ->Community Reports->Format: Spreadsheet ->Category: Player Lists.
You can use other files as long as they conform to the following requirements:
The file must be either a CSV(comma separated value) text file or an EXCEL file.
The file must have column headings.
The index file must contain at least two headings labeled Index and GHIN Id.
The holes file must contain at least two headings labeled Index and GHIN.
Follow these steps below to update index or hole information:
Upload the index or hole data file using the form below.
2. After the file has loaded, click either the "Save Players' Index Values" or " Save Hole Assignments" button to update the GMS database. Updating the hole assignments will automatically trigger the calculation of the playing handicaps.
To view the updated Players List, go to the Players List page.
